SUNNYSIDE KITCHEN

The original kitchen in this Sunnyside Neighborhood home was dark, completely cutoff from the outdoors, and obstructed by a large closet for the fridge. Construction Paper removed the closet and installed glass french doors, resulting in an indoor-outdoor style kitchen that is directly connected to the exterior deck.

We took inspiration from the clients’ love of tea and use of cooking as a meditative endeavor, allowing the design to lean towards the Japandi style. The finishes are simple, light, and clean in this open space that is full of ample storage and counter space.
